Application Tips
Before opening the jar of minerals, tap the bottom of the jar against a solid
surface (like the countertop) two or three times so that all the minerals which are
clinging to the inside lid of the jar will fall back into the bottom of the jar.
This is especially important with your eyeshadows! You wouldn`t believe how many
minerals cling to the lid of the jar - especially during shipping!
Our Bare Minerals are actually great for your skin! They contain no talc, binders,
fragrance, or other harmful chemicals to damage your skin. And both European Bare
Minerals and PuraMineral Bare Minerals are made with all 100% FDA-approved minerals.
Zinc, one of the main ingredients, has natural healing properties that sooth redness
and irritated skin. It is great for acne-prone skin, rosacea, skin peels and other

3 SIMPLE STEPS TO THE PERFECT AIRBRUSHED LOOK
Step 1. SWIRL: Take a small amount of the foundation and sprinkle it in the lid of
the jar. Remember, a little goes a long way. Using either the Kabuki Brush or the
Perfect Application Brush, swirl the brush around in the lid until the brush has
absorbed all of the minerals.
Step 2. TAP: Gently tap the excess minerals from the brush. Do this over the jar or
the lid so you don?t waste any of the precious minerals. This will take away any
excess minerals from the brush so that only a thin layer will be applied, leaving
you with a natural look.
Step 3. BUFF: The last step is to buff the minerals. To buff means to apply the
minerals to your face in small circular patterns with the brush.
Note: After applying your concealers and foundation, make sure you use an even
smaller amount for the more concentrated minerals like Sunkiss, Glow, and all
blushes. These minerals are all-over face colors that will brighten up your face and
add a touch of color to your skin. Eyeliners and eye shadows complete your beautiful
look. Lastly, apply the Sheer Veil or Finishing Powder using steps 1-3. Sheer Veil,
Mineral Veil and Finishing Powder are the same thing. They add softness to your
sheer look for that perfect, air-brushed look.
Other Helpful Hints:
Hint #1: Before applying the foundation minerals, always apply concealer (using the
special concealer brush designed just for this purpose) to cover blemishes, dark
circles and uneven tones in the skin. This creates a beautiful smooth and sheer
finish for your face when the foundation is applied. Concealers are best applied
with a small concealer brush.
Hint #2: If you seem to be getting a heavy powdered look, you are using too much of
the Bare Minerals on your brush. There are a couple of things you can do. First, try
using less of the Bare Minerals. Tap your brush more to shake more of the minerals
back into the jar after swirling. Secondly, your skin may need a good moisturizer
before you apply the minerals. Make sure you let the moisturizer dry completely
before you apply the minerals or it will not give you the sheer look that you want.
Hint #3: After applying the minerals, try buffing off the excess with a natural silk
cosmetic sponge. This will give you a powder-free look and make your skin look fresh
and PERFECT!
MINERAL EYE SHADOWS
Our eyeshadows are completely free of preservatives, fragrance, oil, binders and
dyes. So they are completely safe for sensitive eyes and contact lens wearers AND
can be worn wet or dry. For dry application: Put a small amount on the tapered
eyeshadow brush, always tapping off the excess minerals from the brush before
applying. For wet application: Wet the brush, dip into the jar and make a paste in
the lid of the jar.
Try these tips for even better results!
Tip 1: Apply a sheer wash of a neutral shade of eye shadow to the entire eyelid
before laying down your color. Use may also use one of the lighter shades of
foundation for this. Concealer works too!
Tip 2: Try using the shadows wet to intensify these luscious colors and to achieve a
more dramatic look.
Tip 3: Use the shadows dry to achieve a soft, smoky effect.
Tip 4: Our darker eyeshadow shades double as a liner too and our professional
quality eyeliner brush is the perfect brush for this job! Dampen your brush to get
precise color. Or use dry for a soft, smudged, romantic look.
Tip 5: Shadows and liners can be also worn as brow color.
Tip 6: Any of our Bare Minerals can be used on lips and nails. For lips: Use a
clear gloss, dip it into the jar and apply to lips. For nails: Use a clear nail
polish, dip the brush into the minerals and paint away.
Tip 7: Minerals may be mixed and used anywhere on the face and skin. Try the body
shimmer on your chest, shoulders, and back.
